The position is within Aerostack GmbH, a Joint Venture between Airbus and an automotive company, part of the Airbus strategy to accelerate Zero Emission Aircraft development and build competences and skills in the technology domain.
In order to support the R&D Team in Taufkirchen near Munich, a vacancy for a “Mechanical Engineer for PEM fuel cell development (d/f/m)” has arisen at Aerostack GmbH.
The job holder reports operationally and functionally to the Head of R&D at Aerostack
Accountabilities
Development, construction and maintenance of in-situ and ex-situ testing hardware
Definition of testing protocols and implementation in test benches
Assembling of test cells and guiding of in-situ and ex-situ tests
Handling and conversion of test data and organization in database
Support of research department with sample preparation and material manufacturing
Main Responsibilities
Qualification
As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following competences & skills:
Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, materials science, physics or similar discipline
Construction skills are a benefit
Knowledge of PEM fuel cell technology are a benefit
Knowledge in thermodynamics and electrochemistry is a benefit
Knowledge in forming technology and bipolar plates for PEM fuel cell technology
Experience in in-situ and ex-situ characterization of fuel cell components
Pragmatic mindset and ambition in simplicity
English fluently, German & French are a benefit
