The Technical Account Manager/ B2B Sales Representative is part of the Digital Food Solutions Sales Team responsible for managing and driving growth at a portfolio of customers whose buying orientation is aligned with a digital service approach.
Core Responsibilities:
- Enable customers to grow - Fully manage a portfolio of of Ingredion’s customers that will be serviced more remotely enabled by digital capabilities and tools. Utilizing technical value-adding and commercial end-to-end process and supported by solid technical know-how to help customers generate value and grow with your solutions.
- Deliver strong results – Meet or exceed targets in terms of gross profit, net sales, and volume growth and drive the conversion of a strong application and technically driven opportunity pipeline
- Be a solution provider– utilize and deploy customers’ need the first approach with a solution and uncover key customer pain points and needs and together help in generating a value-adding solution.
- Drive Specialty ingredients growth - Build, manage and drive new business development with Specialty ingredients (plant-based proteins, sugar reductions, food systems) through an opportunity pipeline for assigned and new customers.
- Build Relationships – Build strong relationships with the customers across multiple stakeholders and levels of seniority.
- Act as a pioneer in using digital tools and new ways of working - Effectively use all digital tools to create and collaborate with customers digitally. Strong contribution to developing the future of sales enabled by the digital tools for Ingredion. Utilize digital solutions to plan and conduct meetings, presentations, and training with relevant stakeholders at customers.
- Drive technical and commercial excellence – Manage all pricing and successfully lead contract & pricing negotiations. Ensure value-added pricing approach. Monitor customers’ changing demand and collaborate with Demand Planning to keep forecasts up to date.
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
- Technical sales experience in business-to-business sales preferably in specialty food ingredients.
- Degree or equivalent preferably in food science and technology or related discipline.
- Experience in using digital platforms to manage accounts and drive sales (e.g. SFDC, Social selling, digital sales tools, technical applications)
- Fluent in English, additional languages are welcome
- Analytical, problem solving and skilled with data management
- Some travel to customers and internal meetings may be required up to 20% of job role.
