This VIE position based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is for young graduates looking for an international experience in a strong growing finance group during a 12 months assignment (renewable). German natives cannot apply for a VIE position based in Germany.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

Descriptif du poste

You will integrate into the ODDO BHF International Banking team (about 60 people). ODDO BHF's International Banking Division is a renowned, dynamic and modern market player in trade and export finance. The team takes care of Emerging Markets Financial Institutions and Corporates, maintains relationships to European Exporters and Export Credit Agencies and partners with European banks and other investors when it comes to the risk distribution of Emerging Market credit risks.
Depending on the team you are joining, you will particularly be in charge of sales support/management for Regional and Product Managers.
You will work in a dynamic and international team of highly skilled and committed colleagues and report to the respective Head of Department / Team. Beside the possible participation in various internal projects (i.e. Digitization) incl. continuous tools & process improvements, the following tasks will keep you busy throughout the day:

• Support daily sales activities of responsible Regional Managers and Export Managers with direct access to clients
• Ensure accessibility and service quality to important professional clients with high demands, by all communications means (phone, e-mail, skype, meetings)
• Support the customer onboarding process and prepare credit appraisals on counterparties including consolidation of macroeconomic risk information
• Reduce the workload of Regional Managers and Export Managers and Product Managers by i.e. preparing contracts and preparing indicative offers as well as extracting, assembling and entering data into the bank core systems and prepare internal reportings
• Support and / or active participation in the structuring of International Banking Trade Finance credit risks to be placed / distributed to banks and other investors as well the purchase of credit risks from partners (mainly European Financial Institutions)
• Thema ECA: Strukturierung von langfristigen Finanzierungen, Indikationen etc.
• Support of the responsible product managers for trade and export finance with direct access to clients and Export Credit Agencys (ECA) by structuring and preparing financial proposals and loan documentation to support European export to Emerging Marketes by financing their supplies
• Prepare regular reports on country risk for the credit committee and the Board from various sources (i.e. IMF, rating agencies, sales force): macroeconomic situation, political/geopolitical stability, financial and banking sector situation
• Contribute to sales campaigns, prepare marketing documents and provide respective input into sales statistics

Profil et compétences recherchées

• Successfully completed university/grandes ecoles studies in economics or business
• Good knowledge and appetite for international trade, macroeconomics and financial analysis
• Ideally basic knowledge of core products, i. e. letters of credit, guarantees, international payments and Export Credit Agency business
• Initial experience in international organizations/financial institutions
• Excellent client servicing behavior with professional counterparties globally
• A clear commitment to service performance with a clear willingness to get things done combined with cross-cultural management skills
• Very good ability to work latest versions of MS Office and particularly with xls and proprietary IT systems, hence an affinity to work on the detail
• Competent appearance combined with very good verbal and written expression skills, good team integration track record
• Fluent knowledge of the English language and basic knowledge of the German language
