We have been supporting creative people in their work since 1913! Tombow Pen & Pencil GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the Japanese Tombow Pencil Co, which manufactures reliable, high-quality writing instruments. What began as a Japanese family business producing pencils is now a global brand.
We are looking for a dedicated Export Assistant (m/w/d) to support the export and marketing activities in Europe for 20 hours per week as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities:
The main task is to manage the correspondence between the sales/marketing team and their customers.
- Answering customer inquiries, scheduling meetings, and sales appointments, and following up with customers about their order status and other inquiries.
- Developing and monitoring performance indicators for sales, managing sales tracking tools, and compiling reports daily/weekly/monthly for Export sales manager.
- Recording sales trends, researching competitors’ activities, and liaising with sales support department to monitor sales forecasts and inventory level.
- Managing customer accounts, following up with customers for administrative purposes, e.g., sending samples, confirming orders, etc., and providing troubleshooting assistance for orders, account statuses, and other problems.
- Performing data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintaining an organized and accessible filing system.
- Keeping track of sales targets.
- Scheduling customer meetings and conferences.
- Reporting any unusual activity to Export sales manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in using computer hardware, peripherals, and standard computer software programs.
- Ability to use and/or operate technology equipment and web application software related to position.
- Possess good problem solving and organizational skills.
- English language skills at a fluent level, German is a plus.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, maintain records, and to work with interruptions.
- Ability to review and evaluate operating procedures and recommend improvements.
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of the English language in oral and written forms.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff and public.
- Self-directed and self-motivated in job-related tasks.
