From information to inspiration. LeGer is the fastest growing personal brand in Germany around the entrepreneur Lena Gercke. With the spin-off of LeGer, a separate GmbH based in Berlin has been created. We are looking for a FASHION DESIGNER (m/f/d) to join this team with immediate effect.

We are seeking a talented and creative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic, start-up team at LeGer by Lena Gercke. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of current fashion trends, and the ability to create unique and marketable trendy and core essential designs. As a Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing your new clothing lines and accessories, from concept to final product in collaboration with Product Developers and Buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Trend Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques
Analyze consumer preferences and predict future trends
Do store visits to stay updated on industry trends

Design Development:

Create original designs and develop mood boards, sketches, and illustrations
Select fabrics, colors, and patterns for each collection
Collaborate with the design team to refine ideas and concepts
Ensure styles that fits too a lot of body types and make the customer feel self confident

Prototyping and Sampling:

Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples
Work with the product development team to ensure designs are accurately translated into garments
Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs

Production Coordination:

Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products
Monitor quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship

Collection Management:

Plan and develop seasonal collections in line with the brand’s identity and market demand
Prepare detailed technical packages for production
Manage the production timeline and ensure deadlines are met

Brand Representation:

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in womenswear
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), with experience in 3D product development as a bonus
Excellent understanding of garment construction, textiles, and fabric properties
Strong creative vision and the ability to interpret market trends
Excellent self-organizational skills, capable of thriving in fast-paced environments and adapting to changes
A team player who thrives in a collaborative culture
Exhibit initiative and drive to achieve ambitious objectives
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Skills:

Experience with sustainable fashion practices.
Knowledge of digital fashion design tools and techniques.
Familiarity with global fashion markets and cultural influences.
