Scrum Master
Berlin. 18 months – FTC
Remote: 80 %. Up to €85k
Our client, based in Berlin, are looking for a qualified Scrum Master to support Product Owners and deliver Scrum ceremonies. You will need German language skills C1 to support the team through this process and have proven working experience from an agile approach. You will be responsible for leading teams towards the successful delivery of products and technology projects. You will have the ability to impart confidence in the team in their capability to achieve success and use effective Agile techniques that motivate the team towards maximum performance.
The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader with a ‘can-do’ attitude, able to work under your own initiative, often under pressure and in challenging but highly rewarding environments. A firm team motivator who employs a highly collaborative approach to guide people without controlling them but employing authority when the situation requires.
- Coordination and moderation of Scrum events – sprints, retrospectives and daily stand-ups
- Being a constant source of information and support for the team, through a servant leadership approach that sets an example of best practices in effective communication and project delivery
- Establishing Scrum values in the development team and promoting agile structures
- Continuous optimisation of processes and strengthening of the team to increase efficiency
- Collaboration with the product owners in the transformation of ideas (epics) into backlog items (stories/tasks) as well as support and training of the product owners, especially with regard to the maintenance and prioritisation of the product backlog
- Support in setting up a productive environment as well as removing disruptions and obstacles to ensure results in accordance with quality standards
- German language skills C1
- Degree, preferably with an IT focus, or a comparable qualification as well as certification as a Scrum Master
- Relevant experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team
- Profound knowledge of Scrum techniques, artefacts and relevant tools
- Basic IT and software development skills (Java, JavaScript) advantageous
- Social competence, moderation and communication skills in contact with diverse interfaces as well as practice in conflict management and extensive experience in team development
- An analytical mindset and organisational skills
- Openness for new ideas and pleasure in developing them together in a team
