We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer (m/f/d) for our office in Berlin-Mitte or Stettin (Poland) at the earliest possible date. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance, providing strategic advice, and supporting the Bank's journey into the digital space. While the primary focus will be on the German market, the role will encompass other European countries as well. The candidate will report directly to the Group Head of Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local legislation and EU-wide legal requirements.
- Provide insights and advice on key regulatory aspects related to the Bank's digital transformation.
- Prioritize and address regulatory matters related to consumer protection, financial crime, and payments.
- Identify potential risks and areas requiring remediation while aligning with the Bank's strategic goals.
- Offer solid advice to business units, emphasizing compliance, governance, and risk management.
- Interpret complex legal requirements and assess their implementation in an operational setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in law, STEM, or economics.
- In-depth knowledge and previous work experience with European regulations in consumer credit, banking, and fintech/payments.
- Prior experience in audit or control functions, with familiarity in working within a second line/independent control function.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, compile detailed findings, and present recommendations.
