Project Engineer in R&D for Sterile Devices (f/m/x) in Oberkochen bei ZEISS Group

As a talented manufacturing engineer you will become part of our team for sterile surgical instruments and accessories within the development of complex solutions for ophthalmic surgery. Your responsibilities will include the development of packaging systems for sterile products and ensuring a suitable design for manufacturing process from concept phase to series production.
Your Role
-
development of complex packaging systems (packs of multiple instruments) for sterile products
-
close exchange with product management and surgeons (e.g. formative evaluation) to find the best solution
-
combination of different sterile products in a procedure pack, taking into account different sterilization processes, product shelf life and packaging systems
-
process (re-)validation (sterilisation, packaging, aging)
-
interface with development engineers to ensure product design is compatible with manufacturing processes
-
development of manufcaturing processes

cross-site collaboration with development partners from other countries and external laboratories In addition, the following opportunities are available:

Your Profile

a technical or scientific university degree
-
first years in professional experience in working in the field of medical device engineering
-
experience in sterile packaging design and process validation as well as in sterilization process and aging validation
-
experience in the field of manufacturing process development / supplier quality engineering are desirable
-
experience in the field of value engineering and sustainability are desirable
-
experience in injection molding manufacturing processes is desirable
-
proficiency in written and spoken English
-
analytical thinking, solution-oriented and structured way of working
