Job Title: GNSS Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d)

You will join the Trimble TerraSat development team in Höhenkirchen near Munich, Germany. TerraSat is Trimble's center of excellence for GNSS precise positioning. You will be responsible for testing and qualifying key performance indicators for Trimble’s GNSS positioning solutions.
We are a highly iterative international team that has to adapt quickly to new business requirements. We need people who are comfortable tackling new problems, innovating solutions, and interacting with our marketing team and end customers. You are creative, motivated, able to take responsibility and support the applications we create.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Trimble, you will be responsible for testing Trimble GNSS receivers and contributing to the continuous development of the analysis tools used for generating plots and statistics for GNSS receiver performance evaluation. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our GNSS receivers, which are integral to the success of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
GNSS Receiver Testing
Conduct comprehensive testing of Trimble GNSS receivers to ensure their functionality, accuracy, and performance.
Analyze test data and generate plots, statistics, and reports to assess GNSS receiver performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, documenting and reporting defects as necessary.
Collaborate with the software development team to modernize the MATLAB codebase used for performance evaluation.
Optimize and refactor existing code to improve efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
Integrate new features and algorithms to enhance performance analysis capabilities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers.
Trimble Pivot Platform Testing:
Conduct rigorous testing of Trimble Pivot Platform applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the VRS development team to establish and maintain quality assurance processes and standards for GNSS positioning solutions.
Report and track issues, bugs, and defects, and work with the development team to prioritize and resolve them.
Qualifications:
Highly motivated and self-driven GNSS positioning enthusiast.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a development team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced development environment with changing priorities.
2+ years of experience in precise GNSS positioning in the industry or at the university
Experience in Matlab, Python or a comparable language
Bachelor’s degree in geodesy, geomatics, or a related engineering discipline
