We're looking for a motivated and analytical Data Scientist (m/f/d) to join our Data Science Analysis & Exploration team.

About the team you'd be working with

The team you will be joining works with stakeholders across the company: from marketing and e-commerce, to finance, operations or business development. We apply Data Science to investigate data sets and identify opportunities to improve our business, operations or customer experience.

We've incubated data science products from scratch within our team, and our analysis has lead to significant increases in business revenue and process optimization in different parts of the company. Our team is known across the company and has a reputation for being insightful, experienced and delivering value.

Our team is made up of data scientists, data engineers and a product owner. All of us have changed careers at some point, which speaks to the different backgrounds you find in the team.

We are a self-organized and cross-functional team with a high focus on autonomy and ownership, using typical Agile frameworks. At Flix, we invite you to be an active contributor to the Data Science Community and challenge the Status quo at FlixTech.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

• Work together with a cross-functional, general-purpose data science team that incubates data science projects and analyses data sets to deliver insights to stakeholders from all business domains in the company.
• Analyse data sets to understand their business and operational potential and identify product development opportunities
• Bring data products to production, together with the team, employing a wide range of data science (and machine learning) methods, and working with diverse data sources.
• You will drive projects through their whole life-cycle: from use-case generation, to developing a proof-of-concept, to production phase and handover
• Take the opportunity to impact the company's strategy by driving initiatives that enable efficient scaling and automation, and provide insights across our organisation.
• You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate data sources, techniques and tools to support our decentralised data organisation with multiple data science teams

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

• An analytical mindset and the ability analyse data and derive actionable insights from it
• Solid programming skills in Python and all its data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.) Expertise of SQL
• Experience with Git
• Experience applying data science methods to business problems in an industry context
• Experience in communicating to stakeholders and presenting technical results to them in a clear and effective way
• Overall working experience of 3 years and more
