Join the RWE Renewables team as a Draftsman/CAD Technician (m/f/d) supporting onshore wind and PV projects in Germany and help us shape the future of renewable energy.
The Project Engineering Germany department provides technical support and technical expertise in the development, construction and operation of our wind farms in the specialist areas of Resource Assessment, Site Suitability, Civil and Electrical Engineering.
Your tasks
As a draughtsman/CAD draughtsman/CAD technician (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the independent creation of project-relevant plans and 3D terrain models for the Engineering, Development and Construction departments (wind and PV). With your relevant professional experience and the support of the engineering department, you will help to build up the team of CAD draughtsmen and contribute to the development of optimised workflows for a timely and high-quality working method.
In detail, this includes the following tasks:
- Graphic implementation of project planning based on WTG manufacturer specifications, including 3D modelling of road and civil engineering work and the resulting quantity calculations
- Procure all necessary data bases
- Create digital terrain models (DTM) and tractrix curves
- Create plans for all planning phases (design, approval and execution)
- Create as-built plans after completion of construction
- Communication and data exchange with external planning offices and surveyors
Your profile
- You have a degree as a draughtsman or technical draughtsman and have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the fields of earthworks, road construction or civil engineering (preferably also in the field of renewable energies)
- You have very good knowledge of the software applications AutoCAD Civil 3D (especially in 3D modelling) and MS Office as well as experience in the use of GIS systems
- You have experience in the creation of tractrix curve analyses
- You have a structured way of working and are a strong team player
- You have a quick grasp of things and show initiative and reliability
You have a very good command of written and spoken German and preferably a good command of English
