Your responsibilities
- An experienced renewable energy professional with demonstrated experience of identifying, analysing and securing renewable energy projects
- Develop, review, and maintain an origination strategy that considers the key activities required to deliver solar farms
- Identify, appraise and secure suitable renewable energy development opportunities pursuant to Uniper Renewables growth objectives
- Coordinate the negotiation in order to secure land option and lease agreements, including any other relevant property agreements, to facilitate the successful delivery, acquisition or disposal of renewable energy and low carbon projects
- Establish and safeguard business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including landowners, land agents, joint venture partners, consultants and DNO/TNOs
- Ensure that land right negotiations are conducted in a manner consistent with the delivery of viable projects. Supporting that the negotiation are in accordance with internal land management teams and market rates
- Support the estate management needs of the operational business, to include coordinating rent reviews, lease renewals and securing planning renewals and variations Manage a diverse range of projects and act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects
- Provide other energy related development support and advice to the Group’s wider activities, goals and objectives
- Ensure projects are prioritised appropriately
- Prepare Gateway review papers for key milestone decision points for review
- Ensure projects meet milestone deadlines and internal commercial parameters
- Prioritise and co-ordinate workload
- Manage and minimise risk and report on risk register
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively with a variety of complex internal and external stakeholders
- Be an active member in the growth of the renewables team locally and across the EU
Your profile
- Previous experience of developing wind and solar energy projects is essential for this role, at least 1 year.
- You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in an applicable subject such as project management, surveying, environmental sciences.
- In depth knowledge and expertise of renewables market with a deep understanding of the German project development and agricultural landscape.
- Experience in coordinating the identification and delivery of new land and development leads for solar in Germany
- Have solid experience of negotiating land transactions for renewable energy projects
- Ability to understand wind and solar project parameters to enable analysis of land for renewables potential
- Deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape and land valuations in Germany
- Extensive industry network of land agents, landowners and businesses to contribute to pipeline growth
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of land and title issues will be a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to influence effectively at all levels
- Experience in managing consultants and external suppliers
- Highly motivated and willingness to travel extensively to regions within Germany
- Prepare and write high quality concise documents to convey project progress, status and financial information to internal and external project stakeholders
- You will have strong organisational and analytical skills
- EU Driver’s License
