The AI Infrastructure Solution Team is seeking a skilled and motivated Optical Component Measurement Scientist to join our team. As an Optical Component Measurement Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing measurement techniques and methodologies for characterizing optical components. Your work will contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge optical technologies and standards.
With the significant growth of optical data transmission that is powered by high data demand applications like AI Workload in the datacenter, the interoperability and integrity of optical data transmission present technically demanding and rapidly evolving measurement needs.

Measurement Technique Development: Develop novel measurement techniques and methodologies for characterizing optical components. - Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, planning, manufacturing, and sales, to support product development and ensure measurement requirements are met.
- Solution Support:
- Pre-sales: support for business development to address opportunities and challenges and answer customer questions, including direct discussions or occasional visits.
- Post-sales: customer support, especially for application solutions, including testing for defects and recommending best practices, licensing support.
- Pre-release Testing: Support R&D with testing pre-release solutions, bug fixes, and generating content for marketing collateral
- Documentation and App notes: Prepare comprehensive documentation of measurement techniques, procedures, and results for internal reference and external communication.
- Application Training: Provide training to customer-facing solutions engineers and be the go-to expert on measurement techniques.
- Industry Support: Support our technology experts in standard development contributions and industry tradeshows and interop events.
- Research and Development: Stay current with advancements in optical metrology and contribute to ongoing research and development efforts aimed at enhancing measurement capabilities and improving product performance.
Required:
- A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent engineering major in optical systems & design with 10 years of experience.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, cross-departmental environment.
