Technicial and Logisticial Operations Manager (m/f/d) in Hamburg bei Safran
- Management of a team of 8 mechanics and 1 logistician to support execution of CFM on-site support for Airbus on Leap-1A's engines until delivery of the Aircraft.
- Forecasting, planning, and management of resources to ensure adequate capacity and efficiency
- Reporting to the On-Site Manager, the Operations Leader is responsible for the efficiency of mechanics and logistician team members.
For Mechanics : Carry out maintenance operation to bring the engine back into compliance and to an airworthiness condition without impacting Airbus' milestone
For Logistician: Ensure, the availability of parts and chemicals as needed and on time. Ensuring the ERP's database is up-to-date.
These duties include but are not limited to:
- People management - Mechanics on two shifts and logistician on daily shift (no night shift)
- Setting expectations and managing performance/behavior in accordance with Safran policies, leadership behaviors, and local expectations
- Regular communication with each direct report, including ongoing coaching, one to one meetings and handover meetings within the team
- Accurately maintaining time and attendance records
- Redeployment of staff to other priorities to support daily execution as required by business demands
- Ensuring tooling's are available and calibrate
- Ensuring team adherence to all company and local HSE policies
- Ensuring the workmanship, processes and methods executed by the team meet quality standards, conform to definition, and meet customer expectation
- Ensure all necessary documentation are correct and completed for works carried out by the teams
- Ensuring staff skills matrices are up to date, all compulsory training requirements are current
- Ensuring a continuous improvement behavior in his team
- University degree in a technical field plus 8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Aircraft Engines maintenance knowledge
- Customer oriented
- IT literate – basic understanding of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in written and verbal form, French and/or German are a plus.
- Previous management experience in close to customer environment
- Knowledge of MRP systems (SAP; BAAN) is a plus
- Knowledge of Airbus processes and systems is a plus
