In order to support the cabin electronics innovation department, Airbus Operations in Buxtehude is looking for a
In our Pre-Development team we are working on emerging technologies to develop concepts and demonstrators for the new cabin electronics data processing and communication platform, enabling Airbus vision of next generation aircraft towards emission free aviation. We also drive the continuous improvement and evolution of our cabin electronic products for cabin management system, on-board connectivity solutions, cabin power electronics and video surveillance systems.

You will work on innovation and R&T projects for cabin electronics:
Concept definition for future cabin embedded electronics equipments
Embedded hardware prototype definition and development
Hands-on implementation of bread-board demonstrators as well as specifically designed prototype hardware (for lab and partly also for flight testing)
Prototype hardware verification and testing
Support on R&T project management and reporting
Presentation of results to internal / external stakeholders and customers
Coordination of external R&T partners and sub-contractors
Monitoring of technology and market trends
Pre-Development Lab Responsibility (training provided by Airbus)
You hold a university degree in communication/electrical engineering or similar
You have at least 3 years of experience in embedded hardware development
You are skilled in at least one of the following: data processing, power electronics or RF technologies
Ideally, you have know-how in hands-on 3D prototyping
You are interested in basic software development (C, Python, VDHL, etc.)
You are open minded, innovative and like outcome-oriented thinking and acting
You are motivated to try out and discuss new approaches
You are fluent in English
