We are looking for a Service Engineer (m/f/d) in the Demo Center and Application Development department in full time for our office in Bremen immediately.
Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten:
- Installation of new instruments (mass spectrometers and HPLC)
- Preventive Maintenance of the ESI mass spectrometers and HPLC systems in the Demo center, Application development t and hardware development departments (in close collaboration with the demo team and demo service engineer).
- Ordering spare parts, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing the mass spectrometers and HPLC systems Reducing instrument downtime to a minimum
- Internal communication with R&D teams for installing and testing new software and hardware on the HPLC-MS systems.
- Documentation of hardware and software status of the systems.
- Monitoring working capital, inventory listing and related topics
- Providing technical support and assistance to colleagues
Qualifikationen:
- Degree in chemistry/biochemistry or life/analytical science or technical engineering or comparable technical background
- A solid technical or scientific background gained in industry or academia.
- Work experience in MS and HPLC hardware maintenance and/or knowledge in Application Development are desired
- Experience with Bruker software products would be beneficial
- Ability to diagnose causes of malfunction and to actively resolve service problems
- Very good knowledge in MS Office
- Ability to interact with different Bruker departments
- Self-motivation, and a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal
- Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing commercial environment
- Fluent in spoken and written English, additional languages would be a plus Excellent communications and team player skills
- Willingness to travel nationally as well as internationally for approx. 25% of the time.
