Job Description

Design / conceptualize based on customers’ requirements and specifications
Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions
Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review
Gather proposals, specifications and related documents and liaise with stakeholders in order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products
Prepares and modifies schematic, detailed and production drawings
Interpret customer product design and specifications and translate into packaging requirements
Prepares 2D and 3D presentations / design drawings
BOM generation and cost calculation according to the customer drawings/requirements upon received the RFQ (Request For Quotation)
Develops solutions to technical & design problems following the company’s established standards
Coordinates and develops structural design models, layouts and details in collaboration with clients, architects or other external parties
Self-check the design and ensure that the design is as per customer requirements and meet all standards as per customer Specification
Solve any design issues and attend the meeting with clients
Ensure smooth transition from design to development of testing of the designs and production trial run
Work with project team to produce detailed drawings/mechanical solutions for expediting project implementation & timely completion
Create project documentations such as drawings, BOM, technical specification, operation and maintenance manual for the systems installed
Tooling design like Lithography masks and solder printing stencils
Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned

Job Requirement

Diploma/Degree/Master in Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical / Electronic), Physics, Chemistry or equivalent
At least 2-3 years of working experience
Must possess strong skill level in Autodesk AutoCAD and Solid works software
Knowledge or experience SolidWorks software 3D Design
Good interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently
Good communication skills in English (both verbal & written)
Proactive, Intrinsic motivation to excel and develop teams into high performance teams, motivating by convincing, good communication skills
Able to understand and draw engineering drawing such as geometric tolerances and dimensioning
