Security Operations Center Internship – Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg in Grünheide (Mark) bei Tesla

The Tesla Global Security team aims to make a difference by providing our customers, visitors and employees with guidance and support. Tesla has an outstanding opportunity available for a Security Operations Center (SOC) intern to join our Physical Security Team at Tesla for six months.

The SOC intern will support daily SOC operations such as triaging security reports, supporting emergency response coordination, responding to, and validating alarm notifications and other security alerts including security risk monitoring and analysis. Besides, they will focus on project work supporting the optimization of processes within the security scope as needed. This position will be based at Tesla’s new Gigafactory Berlin site in Germany.

The Regional Security Operations Center provides security support and coordination to all sites within the EMEA region. This includes processing the initial intake and escalation of reported security incidents, regional security risk monitoring and analysis, and assisting with alarm monitoring services for all Tesla locations across the EMEA region.

• Project management tasks to support security process optimization
• Data and security metrics collection and analysis
• Support the monitoring of security alarms from Gigafactory Berlin and Tesla sites across EMEA. Dispatch personnel to incidents as required
• Communicate with site points of contact and emergency services to coordinate incident response
• Assist with security investigations as needed
• Coordinate with cross-functional business partners for security response processes
• Monitor social media platforms to identify real-time impacts on Tesla assets and/or staff and alert stakeholders of risks associated with events or incidents

• Keen interest in physical security, investigations, and risk management
• Good verbal and written communication skills in German and English. Additional languages are a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Office 365). Knowledge of security systems and platforms is a bonus
• Preferably studying or having prior experience in security, risk management, crisis management, legal studies, or security intelligence
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to collaboratively work with cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment. Organized, with solid time management skills and attention to detail.
