EIT Health InnoStars (Belgium)
EIT Health, a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) under the umbrella of the European
Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is focused on supporting entrepreneurship,
innovation, and education, to promote healthy living, support active ageing and improve
healthcare. EIT Health brings together over 130 leading organisations along the entire value
chain – smaller companies, larger industry, excellent academic and research institutions, and
public sector organisations. Together we work toward a healthier Europe by removing barriers
to innovation, promoting talent and education, leveraging enabling technologies and exploiting
big data. EIT Health has Central Offices in Munich and develops activities across a network of
Co-Location Centres (CLCs) in Paris, Dublin, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Vienna and
Mannheim. In addition, the InnoStars office in Budapest involves Partners from Hungary,
Poland, Portugal and Italy. EIT Health InnoStars also coordinates EIT Health Regional Innovation
Scheme Programme by creating a unique link between geographically more remote hubs and
makes them involved in the European innovation ecosystem.

- Develop and implement an engagement strategy focused on key funding bodies at
local, regional and member state level to support the EIT Health sustainability strategy
– and include other funding and investment/sponsorship opportunities within the
private and public sector.
- Monitor healthcare policy and funding related issues, discussions and decisions in
Brussels, providing regular updates for InnoStars and its Partners about ongoing and
foreseen negotiations or developments.
- Collaborate with External Funding Lead in building collaborations, developing
consortia/services to support the pursuit of funding opportunities.
