The Role:
SHEIN is seeking an experienced copywriter to join our multilingual Marketing team at our Berlin office in Germany to write German texts in a distinctive and consistent global tone of voice for SHEIN and our brands. The Copywriter (German Language) is responsible for crafting engaging and persuasive content in the German language that captivates readers, effectively communicates brand messaging, and supports the organization's marketing objectives. This role involves creating high-quality content that aligns with SEO best practices to enhance online visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation
- Produce well-crafted written content in German for various digital platforms, including blog posts, website pages, product descriptions, email campaigns, social media posts, and more.
- Develop compelling copy that resonates with the target audience, maintaining brand voice and tone.
SEO-Friendly Content:
- Implement SEO best practices into German-language content, including keyword placement, meta tags, and headings, to ensure it is search engine optimized without compromising readability and engagement.
Content Strategy:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies tailored to the German-speaking audience and in line with marketing goals.
- Create brand guidelines, content calendars and schedules to maintain a consistent flow of German-language content.
Editing and Proofreading:
- Review and edit German content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and style, ensuring it meets high-quality standards.
Research and Insights:
- Conduct research on relevant topics, industry trends, and audience interests in the German-speaking market to inform content creation.
- Translation of customer insights and marketing objectives into compelling and impactful copy that supports SHEIN's projects, campaigns and company goals.
- Incorporate insights and data-driven recommendations to improve content effectiveness.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with designers, developers, agencies and other team members in Berlin and HQ to create multimedia content and enhance user experience for German-speaking audiences.
Qualifications:
- Native speaker of German
- Bachelor's degree Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a copywriter in the fashion industry, at a publishing house or an ecommerce company
- Strong portfolio of content demonstrating writing, editing and proofreading skills in German.
- Creativity and the ability to generate captivating ideas for German content.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to meet daily deadlines while maintaining high standards.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SEO principles and an understanding of how to create SEO-friendly content in German.
- Experience with content distribution and promotion strategies.
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and trends in the German-speaking market.
- Ability to adapt to evolving content strategies and market dynamics.
