About the opportunity
Our product development chemists are dynamic, multi-talented, innovative, and dedicated to achieving high-quality outcomes while demonstrating initiative. We are looking for a formulation chemist who can enhance our company with their expertise and skills
Responsibilities
- Develop formulations, create test samples, and scale up product candidates for production.
- Produce accurate and high-quality written reports documenting research and findings.
- Conduct quality control testing of finished products, raw materials, in-process materials, and environmental samples to support manufacturing operations.
- Assist in creating procedures to facilitate the manufacture of new products.
- Effectively communicate project progress, as well as any issues or risks, to the laboratory manager.
- Maintain laboratory facilities, equipment, and consumables to ensure optimal functionality.
About You
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant science discipline, such as chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or formulation science.
- Possess a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in your role.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exhibit well-developed planning and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to address challenges effectively.
- Experience in a research and development environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with agricultural or veterinary chemicals is an advantage.
