Operational Purchaser in Hilden bei Koch Engineered Solutions

We are looking for an Operational Purchaser (m/f/d) in full-time for our location in Hilden. In this position, you will play an important role for the company to ensure smooth production and maintain customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do

• Production procurement for our Hilden location
• Determination and disposition of material requirements based on technical documents
• Procurement of raw and warehouse materials (primarily stainless steel), as well as special requirements
• Project-related procurement of production materials and operational resources
• Ensuring the quality and availability of purchased components in the product development process.
• Project procurement for our major projects in plant construction
• Conducting price negotiations and generating purchase orders
• Reviewing order confirmations
• Timely, logistical, and commercial processing of placed orders in close coordination with project managers
• Identification and realization of cost reduction potentials in collaboration with all involved departments
• Continuous monitoring of markets and competition on national and international levels
• Evaluation and development of suppliers
• Handling of complaints and initiation of corrective measures

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Completed commercial apprenticeship
• Professional experience in procurement within an industrial or manufacturing company
• Cost consciousness, as well as analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Knowledge of logistical processes
• Legal background knowledge concerning payment and delivery terms
• Self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Analytical, goal-oriented, and solution-focused work approach
• Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit
• Excellent and fluent command of both spoken and written German and English
