We're looking for you to join limited to 24 months.

Please be advised: Due to our international corporate culture, we publish all our job advertisements in English. Nevertheless a significant part of this job will be in German.

What you’ll do

Building on the journalistic tools you've learned, we'll train you to become a fully-fledged sports journalist within our broadcasting operations
After your induction at Sky Sport News, you'll put your knowledge and experience into practice in all Sky Sport editorial departments
You'll go through all linear and digital editorial departments at Sky Sport and experience the various fields of work
You'll apply the various forms of journalistic presentation on TV and on our digital platforms
As part of the team, you'll plan live editorial broadcasts and oversee their implementation
You research carefully, recognize topics and classify them according to relevance
With a good feeling for images and stories, you create film contributions that you produce, edit and set to music independently – even under time pressure
You'll be deployed as a VJ, learn the work of a TV reporter and deepen this experience through various expert coaching sessions
You'll gain insights into the areas of sports production and broadcast planning as well as performance management
You'll work in production-editorial interfaces such as directing and camera work & in two editorial offices outside Sky

What you’ll bring

In addition to a high school diploma and a degree in journalism, you should have already gained relevant experience in multimedia journalism in various internships
You've not yet completed any other journalistic traineeships and have a perfect command of written and spoken German
You'll bring a high level of expertise in sports, an openness for people and a flair for interesting stories
You're characterized by speed of thought, passion & excellent knowledge of sports, television and digital platforms
Confident appearance and team-oriented behavior as well as high communication skills are a matter of course for you
You're willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
You work with the highest level of diligence and have the inner drive to question the status quo and break new ground in terms of technology and content
Ideally, you already gained basic knowledge of desktop editing
A good command of written and spoken English rounds off your profile
