In this position, you will architect, develop and deploy software used in the factory to manufacture Apple’s new products. This involves collaborating with other engineers within the HWTE Metrology team, and our partners throughout Apple. Be one of the first people in the world to witness new Apple products being crafted for the first time.

- BS/MS in CS / CE, or equivalent experience.
- Strong command of C/C++ and at least one scripting language (Python, Javascript, Ruby, ...).
- Experienced in design, development, validation and debugging low level code for embedded platforms
- Experience with board level hardware development.
- A good working knowledge of using source control systems like Git.
- Fluency in both oral and written English.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills; clear communication with diverse teams.
Excellent judgment; a self-directed, hands-on proactive approach to tackling problems, and an ability to generate trust and to build good working relationships with colleagues.
Description Description
We are currently seeking an individual with strong embedded software skills, with a strong command of C/C++ or any object oriented language, and with a willingness to learn Objective-C. You will work with a team of world-class engineers to develop and deploy mass-production friendly solutions for all Apple products. This would include architecting, developing, deploying and triaging software used in the factory during manufacture of new products. Responsibilities would include triaging and diagnosing issues with cross-functional teams from diverse engineering backgrounds during new product bringup, as well as working with external vendors on defining better solutions and processes.
Education & Experience Education & Experience
5+ years of professional software development experience (internships/co-ops/university experience are applicable) In depth knowledge of embedded systems (cpu, buses, interrupts, clock, power, memory). C++14/C++17, working knowledge of templates, and experience of parallel programming. A working knowledge of Matlab, plus a basic understanding in DSP / image processing and algorithm design. Experience with OS X programming using the Xcode toolchain. Good understanding of serial interface protocols (e.g. UART, SPI, I2C, ..). Experience trouble shooting electronics to the component level. Lab experience, familiar with oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers. Experience collaborating with team members in different time zones.
