To reinforce our sustainability team and focus on our supply chain to achieve our ambitious goals towards carbon neutral business we are strengthening our Value Integration Group in Düsseldorf with a
Sustainable Supply Chain Specialist (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
Investigate and research sustainability requirements in particular effecting supply chain.
This including legislations and governances by EU, national or international institutions and relevant sustainability organizations.
Summarize and continuously Analysis customer requirements across all Hitachi Business groups. Manage actively in close collaboration with Procurement and Sales organizations of business groups to align with customers and internal strategies.
Develop strategies to meet relevant requirements for the Hitachi supply chain.
Coordinate strategies with the Corporate Sustainable Procurement Office.
Identify tools and methods to support the strategy. Benchmark and evaluate possible solutions, prepare for and lead to decision making for Hitachi.
The role focusses on EMEA, however a very close coordination with the HQ in Tokyo is required to ensure global alignment of all necessary activity
Functional lead and close collaboration with all Hitachi Business Groups in EMEA.
University/applied science degree with experience in subject matters or appropriate apprenticeship in industrial environment with 5-10 years of experience
Proven expertise in sustainable management, ideally scope 3 and supply chain
Maturity and willingness to act efficenctly in a complex corporate and multi-international organization.
Excellent English skills and good international communication skills and experience
Solid knowledge of sustainable requirements, metrics, methods and tools
Legal understanding of corporate requirements and base contractual practises managing third parties, suppliers and/or customers
Digital skills and ambition to drive new tools and efficiencies, apart from solid knowledge of common office applications
