About the Opportunity
Job Type: Fixed Term Contractor Contract duration : 5 months. Application Deadline: 31 May 2024
We’re proud to have been helping our clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. How have we achieved this? By working together - and supporting each other - all over the world. So, join our team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.
About your team
The Risk Management Team contributes to the development of Fidelity International’s business and to the protection of its clients, end-investors and business interests. The team provides proactive and high quality risk support and oversight to the business which includes the provision of risk solutions, training and education, challenge, assurance and reporting of risk. Although the role focuses on the German businesses, it is part of a multi-national team that works across borders to partner with all of Fidelity’s client-facing businesses.
About your role
This role offers the opportunity to learn and develop risk management knowledge in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to all areas of Fidelity’s business in Germany and to the UK and global functions that support it. It will work closely with other team members in their day-to-day activities of reviewing, challenging and advising business managers and teams on risk management in the organisation. You will become familiar with risk management activities by, for example, analysing risk data, investigating material incidents and considering external developments.
We do not expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As an intern/working student, we will help make sure that you get the most out of your time with us.
About you
It’s who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied. We look for working students who are great in a team, eager to learn and ready to take on a challenge. A genuine curiosity about risk management is vital, as is a lively interest in the financial services sector, especially the asset management industry. And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak German and English.
Feel rewarded
For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package. We’ll value your wellbeing and support your development. And we’ll be as flexible as we can about where and when you work – finding a balance that works for all of us. It’s all part of our commitment to making you feel motivated by the work you do and happy to be part of our team.
