In order to support the Cabin New Development, Airbus Commercial is looking for a

VIE - Germany/Hamburg - Project Manager Cabin New Developments (d/f/m)

During your assignment you will get the opportunity to gain insight into the Airbus cabin development process. The spectrum includes end-to-end cabin & cargo developments as well cabin commodities including galleys, lavatories, seats, in-flight management and entertainment, etc. The cabin & cargo community covers all Airbus commercial aircraft types. You are in contact with suppliers for all cabin topics and follow with him the definition, design and acceptance phase of the finished product. You can get the experience of working in an self empowered team where the organization is able to take better decisions and evolve to improve its performance and resilience. Gain experience how to handle delegated topics from the manager in team focus groups

What is the VIE program?

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Operative contribution to new development projects within the cabin & cargo perimeter

• Project management

• Schedule & budget management

• Stakeholder management

• Technical coordination

• Administrative contribution to team activities

• Development of new and maintenance of existing team IT solutions

• Be part of the empowered cabin team (~40 colleagues) and its team spirit

• Support specific team needs on request

Desired skills and qualifications

• Experience within Aerospace/Mechanical/Production or Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or similar study field

• IT skills: MS Office / Google workspace/script

• English: fluent

• German: good knowledge appreciated

• You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
