Our team of Kironistas is international, agile, and thinks out-of-the-box. We are education experts, techies, designers, project managers, communicators, grant writers, researchers, coffee-drinkers, innovators, and dreamers, all united in our passion to democratise digital education.
Kiron has developed a platform (Kiron Campus) that aims to digitise learning content and make it accessible to underserved communities from around the world. We are continuously improving our product by making it more accessible to our students. This includes building new features and creative problem-solving, making sure all the stakeholders needs are taken into account. Apart from that, our Campus serves as a white label product for our daughter company Kiron Digital Learning Solutions. Part of your job will be to work with KDLS’ clients.
As our new Product Designer …
… you will be responsible for expanding and improving the Kiron Campus. This position requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and great communication skills.
- Ideating and designing new features as well as improving the Kiron campus based on continuous research from learner feedback, customer feedback and partner requests.
- Maintaining the campus design system and bringing consistency on campus in terms of spacing, typography, colours.
- Continuously collaborating with the developers and communicating with the Product Owner.
- Redesigning the CMS.
- Conducting User Interviews.
- Leading the redesign of the different sections in our campus, like profile page, navigation etc."

- Worked as a Product/UX Designer preferably in edtech.
- Experience with Web Accessibility (WCAG).
- Worked with agile methodology.
- Solid experience and knowledge in Figma or a similar design tool.
- Experience with Design Systems and UI libraries.
- Solid understanding of Design Thinking and user-centred design principles
- Quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Knowledge of edtech industry trends and best practices
Ideally, you might also have:
- Experience with CSS/HTML
- Worked with integrating modern frontend design libraries such as Material UI into your hi-fi mockups
- Fluency in German or at least one of the following languages:, Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian or Farsi.
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Human Factors Engineering, and similar.
