Who We Are HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a highly qualified technical Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Training SME to support the United States Air Forces Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). This position shall provide training in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Force Protection and assist to improve CBRNE readiness training in the European theater. As a CBRN Program Analyst, you will be responsible to assist the USAFE-AFAFRICA staff in administering MAJCOM and Installation Emergency Management Programs. The selected candidate will plan, train and educate personnel on ways to prepare for, prevent, respond to, maintain mission capability and recover from threat events including major accidents, natural disasters, weapons of mass destruction and wartime chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) attacks. CBRN Training SME will play a pivotal role in Huntington Ingalls Industries' commitment to enhancing the training and preparedness capabilities of the U.S. Air Force in Europe, contributing to the defense and security of the region.
What You Will Do - Utilize expertise in CBRN defense and instructional design to create comprehensive training programs for USAFE-AFAFRICA personnel. Ensure the training materials align with Air Force 3E971 standards and evolving CBRN threats.
- Serve as the lead instructor for CBRN training, conducting classroom instruction, hands-on training, and simulations. Demonstrate advanced knowledge in CBRN response, protection, and detection techniques.
- Develop and maintain disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, and provides advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning and management at both the tactical and strategic levels.
- Continuously assess and update training curricula to reflect the latest CBRN threats, best practices, and technological advancements. Collaborate with instructional designers to improve training materials.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to measure trainees' proficiency in CBRN response. Provide feedback to trainees and make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes.
- Stay current with U.S. defense regulations, Air Force policies, and international standards related to CBRN defense. Ensure all training programs are compliant with these regulations and support USAFE-AFAFRICA efforts to secure necessary approvals.
What We Are Looking For - 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Must have graduated from the U.S. Air Force 3E971 military training course (7-Level "Craftsman") with 5 years of instructor experience, or Army MOS 74A, 740A, or 74D with Army Technical Escort (L3) 3 years of instructor experience.
- Personnel must have 5 years of experience in planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating CBRN large-scale, multi-discipline field exercises and table-top exercises.
- Knowledge is mandatory of the characteristics and effects of peacetime WMD and wartime conventional and CBRN weapons.
