For our People Operations Team in Hamburg or Cologne, we are looking for a full-time Junior People & Culture Operations Specialist (div/f/m) who is an empathetic organizational talent and helps shape an excellent employee journey.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Junior People & Culture Operations Specialist (div/f/m), you will work with the People & Culture Operations team to create a unique employee journey experience for our teams. You will be responsible for fulfilling processes to make them as easy and pleasant as possible for all stakeholders. You will be the first point of contact for cross-site administrative HR tasks and actively support the team lead in proactively mapping and driving forward strategic topics and projects together with the team.
You will be the first point of contact for employees with questions related to People & Culture Operations, participate in the onboarding processes for our newbies, and handle different projects and tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You provide support at all steps along the Employee Life Cycle and work closely with both managers and employees, as well as People Business Partners.
- You work hands-on on a wide range of People Operations topics, such as contract and absence management and administration of benefits.
- You maintain an overview of all personnel master data in our personnel management tool BambooHR, as well as our personnel files, ensuring they are up-to-date and of high quality.
- You will be involved in preparatory payroll accounting and will be the contact person for issues relating to taxes, health insurance, and social security.
- You advise our managers and employees on labor law issues and work with our external legal counsel if needed.
- With your experience, you drive the optimization and automation of our HR processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Ideally, have some experience in the People Operations/administration area and set high standards for your work.
- Understand People & Culture as a service and enjoy providing operational employee support.
- Have a strong passion for structured People & Culture processes and adhere to standard procedures; qualitative and often time-critical implementation and documentation are important to you.
- Work and think in a structured and solution-oriented way.
- Have a precise working approach.
- Are confident in stakeholder management.
- Ideally, have experience in preparatory payroll accounting and possess in-depth knowledge of labor and social security law.
- Enjoy presenting our topics within and outside the P&C team.
- Have excellent command of English and German speaking skills.
- Have the desire to get involved and network on an international level.
