- 6+ years relevant professional experience in media planning or buying.
- Have extensive experience in media research, insights or data analytics.
- Strong technical knowledge of media buying and reporting systems.
- Solid understanding of UK or DE media landscape. Experience in more than one local would be beneficial but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams (e.g. Measurement, Media, Portfolio) and external partners (e.g. Media Agency).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills including working with budgets and numbers.
- Highly detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Self-motivation, flexibility and an impeccable attention to detail.
- Intense bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
- English language skills required (business fluent).
- Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
The EU XCM Media team (Cross-Category, Cross-Channel, Cross-Country Marketing) is looking for a Media Operations & Measurement Manager, with a background combining media planning and marketing research. The candidate will bring subject-matter-expertise to measurement tech and media tools into the organization and enable consolidation of media related measurement initiatives into a single SME.
This role will work closely together with the internal Amazon teams: Measurement, Portfolio Planning, and Media Strategy & Planning as well as our external media agency partner. This role will also collaborate with our tech & tools team to support developing automation process (media data sharing and validation) and media planning tools to simplify media analytic and reporting processes (e.g. dashboard and visualization tools) across Europe.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-moving, dynamic and data driven environment. Strong candidates must have the ability to work autonomously, have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to influence others. This role is based at our Amazon corporate office in Munich/DE.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with measurement teams to develop new mechanism and processes that improve and streamline measurement and reporting.
- Work with Media, Portfolio and Insights teams to define and run country specific or pan-EU media measurement test and projects.
- Monitor media campaign and measurement test performance and report back results to wider team and stakeholders.
- Develop and present recommendations, evaluations, and media analyses to relevant stakeholders.
- Build trustworthy relationships with internal business teams, agency partners, research department, and finance teams.
- Mine and synthesize media planning research, media business insights, and local media data to shape media strategies.
- Develop scalable systems, processes and capabilities that will allow EU XCM Media and Portfolio to operate efficiently.
- Partner with our external media agency, across Europe and US central team, aligning measurement projects and simplify processes (automation).
- Write and present high-quality written documents to senior leadership inside the company.
- Act as single point of contact for different XCM departments and measurements teams.
