Airbus UpNext - Project management office in Ottobrunn

Job Description:

As a PMO, you will be part of a multinational team in charge of developing an advanced superconducting and cryogenic powertrain to enable high power electric propulsion systems for aircraft application. It will be composed of a cryogenic DC/DC converter, a superconducting DC network with protections, a cryogenic motor drive, a superconducting electric motor and a cryogenic cooling system developed with partners from worldwide industry and academia, start-ups in a dynamic and emulating environment.

You will be based in Ottobrunn, Germany.

This position comes with a CDI-C contract for 3 years, the timeline of the demonstrator.

With the support of the PMO lead in France, you will be in charge of driving and monitoring the German part of the project, but also to take the lead to support the German team on HR, management of premises, coordination with other German airbus departments, organization of events for the whole team in coordination with the French transverse and project team.

You will also be responsible for monitoring purchases and payments for the entire project (in France and Germany)

Responsibilities:

• Animate the German part of the project by following and updating the planning, the deliverables, the budget, technical meetings and follow actions

• Support the German team for the implementation of contracts and their monitoring

• Take the lead on implementing and following the purchases for all the French and German team

• Support the German team, in coordination with the French UpNext team, on HR, premises and daily issues.

• Graduate in project management, purchasing or similar

• Experience in international project management

• Ability to manage and animate worldwide partners, to follow and to lead cross-functional activities such as HR, premises management, safety…

• Willingness to help and support teams in their daily lives, to create a development environment

• Negotiation level in English is required with excellent overall communications skills

• Passionate about exploring new areas, working on equations and quickly implementing innovative ideas and concepts

• Critical thinker that takes on big challenges to create innovative solutions
