As a Regional Payroll Lead Europe & Africa (f/m/d), you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll operations of Europe and African, for a multinational organization, with a large number of entities in each country. This role is responsible for design and implementation of a strong payroll strategy for Europe and Africa in collaboration with other regional payroll leads and H2R operations.
Together with our cross-functional teams in delivery center and countries, your role involves ensuring an accurate and timely processing of payroll across various countries, handling a network of vendor-partners, implementing payroll best practices, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, outstanding attention to detail, strong financial acumen, and a deep understanding of global payroll processes.

- Drive and lead the analysis of existing payroll processes as well as development and implementation of new end-to-end payroll concepts and strategies with a special focus on quality, compliance and country-specific requirements.
- Closely align and coordinate with internal payroll teams to identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate payroll processes.
- Continuous evaluation of internal and external partners and providers to ensure efficient execution of payroll and to ensure that all services are provided in accordance with the contracts concluded.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data integrity throughout the payroll process and mitigate risk
- Support internal payroll teams, in the context of quality and escalation management as well as in the continuous evaluation of existing payroll systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain global payroll metrics and KPIs to measure and optimize performance and service delivery
What you need to make real what matters. - Masters' degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) in global payroll management, preferably in a multinational organization or shared service provider
- Expert knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor legislation across multiple countries
- Vast experience working with international payroll providers and managing vendor relationships
- Proficiency in various payroll and HRIS systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, business fluency in English, another European language is beneficial
- Professional certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management (GPM) are a plus
