We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer (m/f/d) in Karlsruhe to join our Service team supporting customers in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), for our broad range of products including AFM, 3D optical profiler, stylus profiler, tribometer and mechanical tester, nanoscale infrared spectrometer and nanomechanical instruments.
Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten:
Ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, capability to understand complex electro-mechanical systems and strong technical problem-solving skills.
Duties will include:
- As part of Customer Care Center team, provide phone, e-mail and remote log-in technical support, including diagnostics, solution plans, training and customer facing communication. Test and repair customer equipment.
- Conduct installation, repair, preventative maintenance, acceptance and customer training at customers’ facilities and remotely.
- Serve as a supportive and effective communication link between the customer and Bruker to ensure customer service satisfaction.
- Assist with conferences, exhibitions and workshops as necessary.
- Provide technical input to the sales team in routine & non-routine sales cases.
- Travel around 50% of time.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Degree in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, chemistry or a related discipline.
- A current driving licence in the EU.
- Capability to learn quickly and establish solid understanding in complex technical topics.
- Able to independently troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Demonstrated good communication skills.
- Able to conduct trainings. Experience in writing documentation.
- Experience in using standard tools such as oscilloscope and multimeter.
- Good computer literacy, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems.
- Experience in supporting scientific instruments will be an advantage.
- Business-fluent English. Business-fluent German and/or French preferred.
- Ability to work from our location in Karlsruhe.
