JOB PURPOSE is to oversee the manufacturing and operations activities, by providing strategic leadership and guidance for operational activities with the aim of maximising growth and profitability as well as day to day leadership and management. You will have overall responsibility for all departments covering health and safety, supply planning, sourcing, production, warehousing and logistics ensuring customer requirements are met on time while maintaining the highest level of quality and productivity.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Strategic Plans
- Develop long range and annual business plans for the site in conjunction with regional leadership
- Take responsibility to ensure commitments made in strategic and annual plans are delivered
- Productivity Planning
- Setting productivity and performance targets for the team, monitor progress and make necessary course corrections to ensure such targets are met consistently
- Continuous Improvement
- Be the champion for continuous improvement, lean, environment, health & safety and skills development for operations on site
- Establish and maintain good channels of communication with the operations leaders in other regions to implement best practice ideas
- Communication
- Establish good ongoing communications and exchanges with the wider Broadband Solutions team
- People Development
- Build a team of direct reports that delivers on its promises and takes collective responsibility for actions
- Be a mentor and coach to your team
- Identify development needs of team to meet business challenges and follow through to ensure these are met
What You Will Bring:
- Relevant education or professional experience relevant to accountabilities of the role.
- Significant experience in various functional areas of operations, including sourcing, warehousing, distribution & logistics, assembly operations.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and change management
- High financial acumen is a must
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to deal with complex business matters and handle conflicts
- Highly motivated with a passion for driving operational excellence and business change
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines
- Frequent travel to Poland is required
- Fluency in English
