BeautifulDestinations is launching a mobile app to serve its 45M+ social travel community to solve the problem of where to travel through short vertical videos The team includes Jeremy who has been a leader in travel and the creator economy for ten years, while also being a repeat founder (TicTrac exited for $60m this year). Saad is a well-respected technical leader having launched and grown multiple startups, most recently the unicorn Flink.
Tasks
Help us build the future of travel. Our mobile application provides the best discovery experience and we need to ensure that we only release quality products. To ensure that you would be responsible for overlooking the release process and pointing out any potential issues that the developers might have overlooked for android and ios.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
- Participate in, or hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
- Must have experience with Agile methodology and have worked in scrum teams
Requirements
- BS or BA degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
- Experience using automated test tools, like Selenium, to record and play back test scripts.
- Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.
- Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
- Liaison with development, project management, and customer support.
- Excellent communication and team skills.
