A vacancy for a Flight Test Ground Station (FTGS) Operator has arisen within Airbus Defense and Space in Manching .

As a FTGS Operator you assure the availability and operation of the Flight Test Ground Station for Ground Tests and Flight Tests of the Manching Test Aircraft.

The FTI Systems Engineering & Operations Team supports a broad variety of data gathering systems for numerous technical and tactical purposes at the Manching site and during campaign activities at external test ranges.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance of the FTGS (Hw & Sw) to support the successful execution of Ground and Flight Tests - in MAN and during external campaigns
Management of restricted areas (Access mgmt, IT-systems (incl. ITGA mgmt.) incl. the corresponding computing Hw and data storage media), Radio and Telemetry frequencies and licenses
Configuration Management of the operational FTGS and the associated tools
1st Level FTGS support
Test Data Acquisition, Processing, Archiving and Distribution
Hw and Sw procurement as required

Desired skills and qualifications

Bachelors or higher Degree in Electrical engineering, Network/ telecommunications or similar
Solid first work experience (3 years) in an related area
German: native
English: fluent
