As a Lead Principal Engineer for Technology Concepts, you will act as a key driver in our growing Automotive Microcontroller Team to define the technology platforms for our next product generations.

In your new role you will:
- Take responsibility and define the technology platform for our next microcontroller generation based on a standard CMOS FinFET technology beyond 28nm with embedded NVM
- Actively driving the consistency of the technology platform with 3rd party foundation IP ecosystem (standard cells, SRAMs, I/Os, mixed-signal components)
- Owning dedicated automotive quality topics such as failure modes, reliability relevant effects and product lifetime profiles
- Establish the technology platform competitiveness with respect to costs and KPIs by actively engaging in the Silicon Foundry Ecosystem
- Closely cooperate with different teams, such as platform architects, technology experts, product development teams, and central design enablement
- Own and support differentiation strategies within a standard-CMOS technology environment, wrt. availability, safety, security, and automotive quality
- Establish methodologies for a multi-technology platform chipset, incl. SoC-Package-SiP technology concepts
- Consult line and project management incl. clear technical direction setting wrt. to lean development and cost-awareness

Beyond, you are best equipped for those tasks if you have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field
- About 8 years of experience in concept definition for FinFET based CMOS technologies & products, including embedded NVM
- A technical leadership position and experience in Silicon Foundry engagement and/or technical management is necessary
- A deep understanding of device and interconnects in scaled CMOS technologies including flash-based and alternative eNVM concepts, i.e. power-performance-leakage trade-offs, mixed-signal device & NVM reliability requirements
- The passion to find solutions for the complex technology-design interdependencies of FinFET-based CMOS technologies and digital as well as mixed signal/high-speed and NVM building blocks
- Knowledge in state-of-the art development tools & flows, PDK, design rules, parasitic extractions, device modeling
- The ability to understand product platform requirements and trade-offs from a holistic point of view
- Remarkable technical leadership capabilities combined with good communication skills
- The ability to work in cross-functional teams and a multicultural environment
- Functional Safety & Automotive Quality experience as a plus, e.g. experience with development according to ISO26262 or IEC61508
- Fluent English is a must; German is appreciated
