Vice President – Service Manager Data – in EMEA The Service Manager Data is responsible for ensuring the compliance of internally and externally outsourced data management and governance activities with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) Standard 239. This role acts as a liaison between our organization and the outsourced service provider to monitor, manage, and report on BCBS 239 compliance

Responsibilities
- Outsourced Service Oversight: Manage the relationship with the outsourced service provider responsible for data management, application management and governance activities related to BCBS 239 compliance
- BCBS 239 Compliance: Ensure that the outsourced service provider's practices align with BCBS 239 principles and guidelines.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define and maintain SLAs with the service provider, including performance metrics and compliance expectations.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring mechanisms to track the service provider's adherence to BCBS 239 requirements and prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and address any issues or non-compliance matters promptly, working closely with the SSBI IT outsourcing office, SSBI outsourcing office and the service providers to implement corrective actions.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication between the SSBI IT outsourcing office, SSBI outsourcing office and the service providers, ensuring alignment on BCBS 239 compliance efforts.
What you require
- Proven experience in BCBS239 compliance financial institution, documenting data traceability, putting in place a data quality dashboard, setting up data sharing agreements.
- Sound experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks relevant to outsourcing and service management.
- You are able to work with people from different areas (Business and IT) through strong inter-personal skills (active listening, empathy, influencing) and to steer working groups. You are a team-player with people focus and able to work with various colleagues across the organization.
- You have a passion for data and its added value and you have the strong desire to transform the culture into a data culture.
- Conceptual and creative: you are able to recognize common patterns or generic aspects in elements that seem unrelated at first sight; you are able to see dependencies/synergies with other data-oriented subjects and initiatives.
- Strong problem solver: you demonstrate strong analytical skills (e.g. breaking up & structuring complex problems into manageable pieces.
- You are able to work with people from different areas (Business and IT) through strong inter-personal skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Finance).
- Several years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in capital markets or financial markets infrastructure
- Proven track record in service management or vendor management in a financial institution.
