The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Privacy and Cybersecurity Counsel EMEA (m/f/*) you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:

Oversee EMEA privacy and cybersecurity legal issues, training, third-party assessments, risk management, and compliance.

Provide legal guidance on data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity for a large, tech-driven organization.
-
Serve as EMEA Data Protection Officer, handling EU regulator interactions and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Advise 3M leaders on EMEA privacy and cybersecurity regulatory compliance globally.

Support global privacy initiatives, manage investigations, and monitor new privacy and cybersecurity developments.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Law degree and qualified to practice in at least one Member State of the European Union
-
Fundamental experience in data privacy law
-
Fluently speak German and English
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
-
Certification from relevant professional organizations, such as the International Association of Privacy Professionals
-
Work experience in an AmLaw 100 firm and/or Fortune 500 environment in an attorney role is strongly preferred
-
Deep experience in the application of the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable regulations
-
Experience providing strategic direction on implementation of privacy programs and compliance mechanisms
-
Possesses knowledge of business processes within diverse industries, including, product development and approval, manufacturing, marketing and selling
