Staff Engineer / Senior Engineer EMC for Automotive System on Chip IC’s (f/m/div)* in München bei Infineon Technologies
You have a background in electrical engineering/electronics/information technology and are interested in innovation? As Staff Engineer EMC for Automotive System on Chip IC´s you will actively support our development departments in the implementation of new systems on chip (SoC) projects, while considering the aspect of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). You will not only cooperate with internal project teams but also with Infineon customers worldwide to develop solutions for products and applications.
In your new role you will:
- Develop EMC test- concepts , -plans, -circuitry and -software for automotive power ICs with embedded microcontroller based on international standards and specifications
- Be responsible for the development and start-up of IC EMC test- and applications boards, circuit designs, layout, and assembly as well as start-up, initialization and programming of ICs
- Be responsible for the configuration and operation of EMC test benches for IC emission and immunity testing for ICs and systems
- Drive EMC methodology development for IC and system level analysis and solutions (e.g. analysis/test methods for ICs and applications, modeling and simulation of EMC phenomena)
- Perform EMC characterization and analyses of automotive power ICs with integrated microcontrollers
- Evaluate EMC results and perform fault analyses as well as
determining and documenting results and dependencies - Review results with IC designers and consult the development team on optimal product designs
- Support application engineers and customers by providing design-in/win support, developing application measures, analyzing and presenting EMC results
You are curious, open to new ideas and committed to driving things forward together with your colleagues in the team. At the same time, you think ahead and are continuously looking for improvements. You are familiar to work in an international environment and enjoy taking on responsibility. In doing so, you keep the customer in the focus of your actions and thinking and thus create added value for internal as well as external business partners.

- Around 3 years of relevant experience , preferably in the area of hardware development (PCB) and hardware-related programming (microcontrollers) with reference to EMC analysis
- Experience in the design and layout of test- and application boards as well as experience in EMC engineering and analyses of power IC (SoC) applications
- Experience with programming microcontrollers and embedded power ICs (SoC)
- Knowledge in the area of EMC and RF measurements as well as
physical principles and phenomena of EMC - Experience in modeling and simulation for EMC analysis of power applications
- Excellent knowledge of German and English , both written and spoken
