The Delivery Unit 1.1 has full commercial responsibility for the entire life cycle of the E³ 1.1 architecture, from request to release to field support. Portfolio Management defines the project content for the Delivery Unit in close coordination with the Group brands, both for initial approval (portfolio creation) and in the event of change. It is responsible for portfolio strategy, project portfolio, technical concept development, project approval in committees, financing and key commercial aspects.
- Responsible for efficient management of the company-wide product portfolio, including approval, budgeting, and prioritization
- Identifying portfolio improvement potentials and implementing solutions
- Conducting evaluations for portfolio decisions considering goal deviations, conflicts, and risks
- Commercial and resource-related assessments for needs of the Delivery Units and affordability-based decisions
- Initiating and coordinating technical concept development with the Delivery Management for electric and software architecture generation
- Integrating the Delivery Unit product portfolio into CARIAD's overall portfolio, ensuring communication with corporate brands and markets and coordinating the portfolio backlog
- Completed degree in (business) engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in portfolio management or product development, including roadmap creation, funding applications, customer product development, and business planning
- Experience in creating company-wide business plans (CL) for portfolios, validating product concepts, and gaining portfolio acceptance with relevant stakeholders
- Market knowledge and ability to identify trends early, e.g. within the fields Connected Car, Infotainment, Energy Management & Charging, Compute Platform
- Advanced expertise in product specification and portfolio management within Volkswagen Group
- Application of enterprise-level product lifecycle management processes, utilization of committees and organizational structures, as well as ability to review, consolidate and define application concepts and resolve conflicts
