Determine and coordinate key success criteria and measurements with corresponding functions
Ensure manufacturing readiness for existing, advanced and new products in close collaboration with R&D and Quality - so that sufficient product and manufacturing specifications as well as standards (SOPs) and control plans are available:
Extract, read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data sheets drawings (e.g. from SolidWorks PDM system and/or ERP systems)
Review the specification on the drawings and accompanying documents against physical parts and generate Red-Line drawings or documents highlighting the missing information for Manufacturing the part / component.
Perform the review process by checking part / component drawings with respect to state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and thereby support in updating the part specific data - be it 2D Drawings / 3D Models in the engineering CAD systems as well as technical documentation in Document management systems.
Check correctness of raw material, complete manufacturing & tooling related technical information, tolerancing, surface treatment and coating relevant information, etc.
Ensure there is agreement with R&D on adjusted/added specifications and that changes are conducted under the requirements of the BD change control process.
Participation and advice on the selection of manufacturing processes
Make sure maximum manufacturing and material flow robustness and efficiency are given (e.g. by using tools such as Monte Carlo Analysis, DFSS, DFMEA, Kanbans, Dock-to-stock…).
Promote and assist in the establishment of lean, visual management and data collection systems (and ensure compatibility with surrounding BD system landscape)
Furthermore, assess new suppliers and support in maintaining and developing a competitive manufacturing strategy
Estimate, evaluate and track (plan vs. real-time) manufacturing costs

Experience in Sheetmetal and machined part manufacturing industry of advantage
The ability to interpret/work with 2D drawings, 3D models and technical data sheets
