About the position
We are looking for a self-driven, highly engaged individual with a passion for a well managed IT footprint, both in Germany and around the global enterprise. This individual will assist the existing Data Center Manager(s) and grow with the job. The aim is to have:
a good knowledge of IT Infrastructure in an enterprise (aligning lifecycle, capacity and demand, overseeing storage, physical compute, data platforms, etc.),
starting experience at least one of two products: Data Center/Computer Room and/or Data Center Network, and
ideally an understanding of Pharma and Diagnostics.
Your key responsibilities
Data Center Operation: Ensure ongoing operation and support according to relevant standards of Data Center/Computer Room hosting locations in Germany.
Data Center Standardization and Evolution: Support the evolution to meet Business and IT Strategy needs, including expansion of Penzberg campus and consolidation of hosting into the data centers.
Data Center Technology Advice: Be a contact point for global IT Infrastructure teams, both for supporting their activities as well as ensuring the appropriate inventory, clean-up and maintenance activities.
Data Center Network Implementation:Implement Data Center Network changes in Germany.
Contribute to global efforts for improvement in Data Center management.
Understanding of financial aspects, including utilization and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of IT Infrastructure.
Your qualifications and experience
You have a Bachelor degree (preferred in Information Technology) and 2-5 years of relevant work experience or you have a Master degree (preferred in Information Technology) and 1-4 years experience or you have 3-7 years experience in a similar position
You have a professional level of both German and English
You have an organizational Agility
You have experience in working with Internal and External Stakeholders
You have the ability to collaborate with product managers both locally and globally
