Job purpose
Support the implementation of Master Data Management plans, programs and processes to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows to business and stakeholders. Assist in executing master data management processes for specific globally owned master data objects.
Job tasks
- Gain understanding of end-to-end master data processes and flows to develop ability to implement master data management solutions independently
- Assist in collecting best practices to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues
- Collate, model, interpret and analyze data
- Analyze data to identify variances and trends with guidance
- Support in identifying and documenting enhancements to master data management processes
- Contribute to ensuring master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
- Conduct day to day maintenance for selected data objects in the application
- Supportimplementation of data standards and guidelines on data maintenance
- Execute process automation wherever possible
- Provide proper documentation, robust maintenance processes, and quality controls
- Collaborate with regional and local data stewards as well as GSC teams to ensure jointly day to day administration of master data
- Support in analysing and implementing data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access
Skills and knowledge required
- Ability to apply practical knowledge in master data management obtained through advanced education and work experience
- Experience in assisting with the set up and management of data policies, data definitions, data quality standards and KPIs
- Implements processes, working independently with limited supervision
- Ability to support with potential solutions to solve difficult and complex problems
- General knowledge of freight forwarding business required
- Knowledge of Products (Ocean Freight, Air Freight and Value Added Services), Marketing and Sales and/or Finance required
- Proactively identifies and resolves problems and risks—we need someone who can foresee and get ahead of burning topics
- Expertise in technical writing (standard operating procedures, guidelines etc.)
- Strengths
- Strong Analytical Skills - understand business process and IT system landscape and downstream impact of changes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in WiseTech CargoWise, Infor S21 and/or Salesforce is an advantage
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- More than 4 years relevant experience preferably in IT and forwarding logistic
