We are also experts when it comes to handling cross regional business opportunities.
We are responsible to develop, negotiate and execute business contracts with Data Center customers, either directly or through a regional company.
We drive Business Development for assigned Verticals on behalf of our operating company, Smart Infrastructure. We focus on acquiring business from global customers and cross regional opportunities for the Data Center Vertical for the Electrification and Automation business unit.

WHAT PART WILL YOU PLAY?

You can be part of this fascinating and fast-growing global business as our Commercial Project Manager for Data Centers. Join our highly motivated and self-driven team in the Business Unit (BU) Electrification and Automation.
- During the budget and firm quotation phase, contribute to the preparation of customer offers.
- Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers
- Coordinate supporting processes (e.g., insurance, credit check, taxes, compliance)
- Drive projects by creating bookings, setting up project WBS structure and budget, and monitor financial project status based on planned delivery schedules
- Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, and reconciliation of project cash flow and standard deviation analysis using SAP
- Implement and drive measures to improve project performance (e.g., through effective claims management and risk management) and overall process efficiency
- Work in an agile entrepreneur’s environment, take ownership, work with the team closely and bring the assigned tasks and projects to success.
You ensure the implementation of relevant processes and compliance in projects according to the guidelines stipulated in PM - (at)Siemens, commercial rules and regulations (e.g., Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines) and other statutory provisions as applicable.
- Conduct and take part in regular project reviews – and be able to contribute on key commercial topics, e.g., actual vs forecast on key financial KPIs including overall outlook on revenue, EBIT, cash flow etc.
- In this role, you will also be collaborating with commercial project managers of our Data Center – Center of Competence in India and Netherlands
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE REAL WHAT MATTERS
- You have a bachelor´s degree in business administration
You are certified as a Commercial Project Manager via PM - (at)Siemens
- You have first years of relevant work experience in executing C-level projects
- You have several years of experience related to commercial contracts and experience in commercial sales, ideally within the Siemens Group
- Several years of experience in negotiating customer contracts and knowledge about the critical topics related to terms and conditions and their effect on the hardware technology is obligatory
- You are used to working across regions and always apply intercultural sensitivity
- International experience is desirable but not a must
- You are an expert in handling MS Office programs and SAP
- You are open to travel internationally if needed and have fluent English language skills, also German language skills are a plus
- You are characterized as a person with a high level of communication skills, analytical skills, team orientation, resilience, and social competence

- You are committed and flexible and have already successfully proven your independent and results-oriented way of working.
