Airbus Defence and Space CoC “Flight Physics” in Manching looks for a Weight & Balance Engineer (d/f/m) in the department „TEYGC-TL2 - Mass Properties Manching".

Your tasks and responsibilities

Your main tasks will be:

Contribution to weight prediction, monitoring and control within actual projects

Acquisition of mass properties related data based on CATIA models and drawings, including update of related databases

Evaluation of modifications and upgrade packages considering their impact on aircraft centre of gravity

Contribution to Eurofighter Mass Properties Support Team activities related to aircraft weighing preparation, execution and result analysis

Making sure that suitable methods & tools are specified and developed in order to meet the department’s targets

Contribution to creation and maintenance of mandatory process descriptions and handbooks

Desired skills and qualifications

Ideally, you bring along the following skills and experiences:

Master degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar

Basic knowledge in aircraft design principles

Basic knowledge of mass properties discipline

CAD experience

Fluent in German and English

Open for acquisition and application of new skills, methods and tools

Willingness for teamwork as well as interdisciplinary & international cooperation, good communication skills and autonomous way of working

This position requires a security clearance by BMWK.
