We are looking for a Lifting Engineer to join our team as active technical and regulatory advisor within the Northern Europe and Middle East Onshore Service business. Ensure compliance with QHSE SGRE standards and relevant country and international legislation as appropriate.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to
- Define, own, implement and maintain the Operations lifting strategy in-line with relevant legislation. Form development and training plans for lifting personnel as appropriate.
- Define templates and standard associated with lifting. Check and approve lift plans and safety documentation and act as the escalation point & technical authority for unusual lift planning or wherever sites require support.
- Ensure all relevant 'controlled' documentation and drawings are appropriately 'Created', 'Checked', and 'Approved' to provide a maintained 'Audit-Robust' environment in which lifts, across Operations, are planned and conducted.
- Where necessary, act as the AP to plan lifts (including heavy lifts).
- Ensure correct methods of assessing and managing risks are used to maximise utilisation of operational resources. Ensure that APs are working efficiently and take responsibility for the lift planning hours for Onshore Heavy Lift.
- Ensure subcontracted lifting product and service companies maintain standards and uphold compliance obligations and check (and where necessary Comment/Revise/Reject) specialist supplier proposals with respect to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Drive the SGRE safety culture on site and implement, maintain and communicate the strict adherence to the organisation’s environmental, health and safety and security procedures.
- Lead, encourage, document and monitor subcontractor, supplier and site team regime of safety audit, inspection and progress meetings to drive a continually improving safety culture
- Collate, communicate and improve site safety performance to encourage an open and continually improving safety culture.
- Maintain and develop good working relationships with customer organisation(s) and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Provide functional leadership to lifting personnel, as overall responsible for Lifting, and providing required mentoring and coaching.
- Maintain an overview of the preparation/provision of HSE related documentation i.e. statutory inspections, Ensure all work is carried out in line with SGRE standards and in line with German legislation.
- Provide communication of best-practice knowledge and awareness of industry developments, competitor strategies and approaches to heavy lift activities.
- Develop and maintain databases and processes with respect to lifting activities and lifting equipment.

- Professional experience – Electrical/Mechanical preferably (training certificate)/NVQ level 3 or 4 / electronics or full apprenticeship scheme will be preferred.
- Lifting experience in the German market.
