We are Tibber, the energy company that wants you to use less energy. Whaaat? That’s right. We’ll get back to that. Yes, we are by definition an energy company, but we’re more techy than most. How and why you might ask. Well, a third of our employees are actually working on developing products and solutions that can help you use energy in a smarter way and at a lower cost – all with the help of cool fancy tech. Good for our customers, their wallets, and the planet.
Our growth rate has been truly amazing, and still, we’re just getting started. With millions of smart devices connected to the Tibber platform (like electric vehicles and smart thermostats), we have one of the most unique portfolios trading energy on the market.
We’re extremely proud of the work we do at Tibber. Our product is used by hundreds of thousands and the app is loved by our users (App Store 4.7/5, Play Store 4.4/5) as it is by the team making it. But while attracting a loyal fanbase is hard, keeping it takes a crucial combination of hard work and an immense focus on details and our users.
When electric vehicles started pioneering the transition to an electrified future, our goal at Tibber was to do the same for the at-home charging experience. With EVs now becoming mainstream, competition is growing fierce. We are now looking for a Product Manager to spearhead our Smart Charging experience to ensure we deliver on our pole position and stay on top.
The focus of the Smart Charging area includes:
Smart charging user experience. From the first touchpoint to the last.
Technical integrations. This is with the car and wallbox manufacturers to maximise the breadth of devices we can steer our users to love Smart Charging.
Optimise. The quality and perceived experience of Smart Charging for our users and the value a connected car or wallbox can generate for Tibber and the user.
As a Product Manager at Tibber, you are expected to be able to grasp the full range of what drives our users and their behavior, as well as the technology we use to realise our products. At Tibber, we believe fullstack applies to product people as well as engineering, which means the Product Manager role is both hands-on and runs the day to day operations in the team as well as having the big picture and forward looking perspective.
As a Product Manager, your focus is to ensure the Smart Charging squad delivers the right things at the right time. To do this, you prioritise ruthlessly, remove noise, and act as the main bridge to Smart Charging in the overall Tibber organisation.
Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:
Thinking and acting like our customers. Be the customer with an immense focus on user experience.
Driving KPIs. Define target KPIs and measures for tracking and follow-up of the Smart Charging performance.
Strategy setting and alignment. Define, own, and drive the roadmap for the Smart Charging experience.
Being the EV market expert. Work with country local expertise to capture and deliver on market-specific requirements.
Managing stakeholders. Work closely with our leads, partnership managers, customer support and marketing team to make the best out of our amazing product.
Keeping up to date on our competitors. Stay on top of the competition to understand what they’re doing and how we can do things even better.
Product expert who is a EV and smart home enthusiast. You have a track record of achievements in your portfolio, with at least 3+ years as a Product Manager, preferably in the B2C space, and ideally with a background in EV charging and/or smart home technology.
Strategy and planning expertise. You are comfortable in drafting strategies for long-term success and communicating these to people on all levels, and you make decisions based on a combination of research & data, strategic direction, and a genuine feel for what Tibber and our users need.
Technically minded. You likely have a technical background and can easily understand technical concepts, identify tradeoffs, and turn these into beautiful user experiences.
Collaborative team player. You are curious, and humble and love to work with others to bring out the best of your team.
Hungry for a challenge. You don’t wait for things to happen, you are self-driven and make them happen!
