Our department Information Technology is looking for an
Infrastructure (Network) Engineer (m/f/d)
Become part of the Regional Core Infrastructure Team! Together with your team, you will be responsible for the operation of the entire IT infrastructure (EAME), with one part of the team focusing on servers & storage and another part on the network infrastructure.

The salary for this position (full-time) is based on the ERA group 15 of the collective agreement of the metal and electrical industry Baden-Württemberg and consists, in addition to the gross monthly salary of 5.642 €, of various special payments (holiday pay, T-Zug, Christmas pay, etc.). You can expect an annual salary of approx. 70.800 EUR in this position.
Your Responsibilities:
- You analyze and resolve complex infrastructure problems at all John Deere sites in our region
- In close collaboration with the global IT product team, you work on introducing new network technologies and you are responsible for their implementation
- Bringing in new ideas and continuous improvements is also part of your responsibilities
- You support the application of new technologies such as IT automation and AIOps
What Skills You Need:
- Completed education in the IT field (degree, IT specialist training, or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Enterprise Network Services
- Ideally, CISCO certifications in Routing & Networking, and familiarity with CISCO NEXUS/Datacenter (ACI), CISCO PRIME & DNA Center
- Excellent English and German skills, written and spoken
- Teamwork, flexibility and interest in and ability to independently familiarize yourself with new technologies
- The following knowledge and skills are beneficial:
- Experience with IoT networks (e.g., LoRaWan and 5G)
- Experience with Jenkins automation.
- Handling of service management tools (ideally ServiceNOW).
- Good project management skills.
This tariff position is based in Mannheim and vacant as of August 2024.
